AsianOdds or Asian handicaps are the type of bets offered in Asian format on match results. First of all you need to know that the largest cash flows occur on Asian markets. That said it is understood that understanding what AsianOdds are and how they work becomes essential to have a more accurate betting strategy. Now let's go into detail: Asian odds are applied to the result and the number of goals of the match. Every Asian bet is characterized by a handicap or "balance line" with which the odds remain balanced. For the final result the handicap is defined "spread", while for the number of goal is indicated in "total line".
This handicap assigned to the teams assumes a negative value for team that is favorited to win.
It means that by betting that the favorited team will win,
the bet will be winning if the goal difference between favorited team and the other
will be greater than the spread assigned to it. Vice versa, the same
spread but positive, it is assigned to the underdog team. The bet on the
underdog team will be winning if the number of his goals plus the spread,
is greater than the number of goals of the favorited team. The spread can take values
positive and negative multiples or equal to 0.25, or in the case of teams that
they are equal, equal to zero. Every time a game suffers a
significant dropping odds, unbalancing the balance line, the spread changes
in the direction of that variation. There will therefore be a change in the spreads and the
odds will return to being more balanced. The spread mechanism
split eliminates the possibility of betting on the tie. Based on the result
of the game, with the calculation of the spreads you can get reject goals
fractionated. These values indicate the return of the bet. If the value
is greater than or equal to 0.5, the bet is all winning. While if the value is
equal to 0.25, the bet will be half won and half refunded, as
the waste limit must be at least 0.5 goals. The value is equal to zero,
we will have a totally refunded bet. For the value -0.25, there
they will reimburse half of our stake, while the remainder is lost.
For all other values less than or equal to -0.5 the bet results
loser. Below is an example table with the results obtained.
* to simplify we use an example spread but remember that it can be
split for all numbers (-0.5, 1.75, -3, 2.25 ...).
| bet on favorited team | |||
| spread | result | calculation | W/L |
| -0.25 | 2-1 | 2 - 1 = 1 -0.25 = 0.75 | WIN |
| -0.5 | 2-1 | 2 - 1 = 1 -0.5 = 0.5 | WIN |
| -0.75 | 2-1 | 2 - 1 = 1 -0.75 = 0.25 | 1/2 WIN |
| -1 | 2-1 | 2 - 1 = 1 -1 = 0 | DRAW |
| -1.25 | 2-1 | 2 - 1 = 1 -1.25 = -0.25 | 1/2 LOSE |
| -1.5 | 2-1 | 2 - 1 = 1 -1.5 = -0.5 | LOSE |
| -1.75 | 2-1 | 2 - 1 = 1 -1.75 = -0.75 | LOSE |
| bet on underdog team | |||
| spread | result | calculation | W/L |
| 0.25 | 2-1 | 1 - 2 = -1 +0.25 = -0.75 | LOSE |
| 0.5 | 2-1 | 1 - 2 = -1 +0.5 = -0.5 | LOSE |
| 0.75 | 2-1 | 1 - 2 = -1 +0.75 = -0.25 | 1/2 LOSE |
| 1 | 2-1 | 1 - 2 = -1 +1 = 0 | DRAW |
| 1.25 | 2-1 | 1 - 2 = -1 +1.25 = 0.25 | 1/2 WIN |
| 1.5 | 2-1 | 1 - 2 = -1 +1.5 = 0.5 | WIN |
| 1.75 | 2-1 | 1 - 2 = -1 +1.75 = 0.75 | WIN |
Every bet placed on a Spread has a relative odds. The odds of the spreads are called "Odds 1" for home and "Odds 2" for away team. High volumes of bets placed on a spread they make the Odds rise or fall (as it happens for the European odds 1X2). When Odds rise or fall too much, the spread changes, bringing the odds back to a more balanced level. We understand the operation by following the example in the table.
| team | spread | odds | |||
| run | open | +/- | run | open | |
| Home | -0.75 | -0.75 | 1.38 | 1.91 | |
| Away | 0.75 | 0.75 | 2.65 | 2.01 | |
The odds are balanced at the opening (open);
The odds over time (run) are out of balance towards the home team;
To balance the odds, the bookmaker will change the spread;
The result will be:
| team | spread | odds | |||
| current | open | +/- | current | open | |
| Home | -1 | -0.75 | 2.12 | 1.91 | |
| Away | 1 | 0.75 | 1.81 | 2.01 | |
The home team gained a spread (in blue from -0.75 to -1);
The away team lost a spread (in red from 0.75 to 1);
The odds of team home and away are again balanced;
Remember:
the home team spread increases if Odds 1 goes down;
the home team spread decreases if Odds 1 goes up;
the away team spread increases if Odds 2 goes down;
the away team spread decreases if Odds 2 goes up.
Spreads are always the same but of opposite sign.
The handicap related to the total number of goals in the match
is called "Total Line". This handicap indicates the limit
in which the number of goals will be lower (Under) or higher
(Over). Like the spread, the total line is divided by multiples of
0.25 but only positive. Based on the bet made on the Under
or on Over and the total number of goals of the match you will have a
return:
* to simplify we use an example total line
but remember that it can be divided for all positive numbers (2.5, 3.75, 4, 2.25 ...)
| Bet on Over | |||
| Total | result | calculation | W/L |
| 2.25 | 2-1 | 2 + 1 = 3 - 2.25 = 0.75 | WIN |
| 2.5 | 2-1 | 2 + 1 = 3 - 2.5 = 0.5 | WIN |
| 2.75 | 2-1 | 2 + 1 = 3 - 2.75 = 0.25 | 1/2 WIN |
| 3 | 2-1 | 2 + 1 = 3 - 3 = 0 | DRAW |
| 3.25 | 2-1 | 2 + 1 = 3 - 3.25 = -0.25 | 1/2 LOSE |
| 3.5 | 2-1 | 2 + 1 = 3 - 3.5 = -0.5 | LOSE |
| 3.75 | 2-1 | 2 + 1 = 3 - 3.75 = -0.75 | LOSE |
| Bet on Under | |||
| spread | result | calculation | W/L |
| 2.25 | 2-1 | 2 + 1 = 3 - 2.25 = -0.75 | LOSE |
| 2.5 | 2-1 | 2 + 1 = 3 - 2.5 = -0.5 | LOSE |
| 2.75 | 2-1 | 2 + 1 = 3 - 2.75 = -0.25 | 1/2 LOSE |
| 3 | 2-1 | 2 + 1 = 3 - 3 = 0 | DRAW |
| 3.25 | 2-1 | 2 + 1 = 3 - 3.25 = 0.25 | 1/2 WIN |
| 3.5 | 2-1 | 2 + 1 = 3 - 3.5 = 0.5 | WIN |
| 3.75 | 2-1 | 2 + 1 = 3 - 3.75 = 0.75 | WIN |
Every bet made on the total lines has a relative odds for the limit lower (Under) and the upper limit (Over). High betting volumes on the Total, make the Under/Over odds rise or fall (as is the case for the European Under/Over odds). When the Un/Ov rise or fall too much, the total line changes, bringing the Un/Ov odds back to a more balanced level. We understand how it works by following the example in the table:
| Total | limit | odds | |||
| run | open | +/- | run | open | |
| 2.25 | 2.25 | Over | 1.38 | 1.91 | |
| Under | 2.65 | 2.01 | |||
Un/Ov odds are balanced on opening (open);
The odds over time (run) are out of balance towards the Over sign;
To balance the odds, the bookmaker will change the total line;
The result will be:
| Total | limit | odds | |||
| run | open | +/- | run | open | |
| 2.5 | 2.25 | Over | 2.12 | 1.91 | |
| Under | 1.81 | 2.01 | |||
The total line increases (in blue from 2.25 to 2.5);
The Under and Over odds are again balanced;
In the event that the odds that falls is the Under sign,
the total line decreases (in red).
For every variation of Odds and Un/Ov, AsianbetSoccer calculates the difference ("Points") and returns a value relative to the profit that the bookmaker draws from these changes ("Payout"). The following formulas are owned by AsianBetSoccer. By using the site you accept ours terms and conditions.
The variation between the opening and current odds
are calculated according to the formula:
100 * ((odd 1 - odd 2) current - (odd 1 - odd 2) open)
Assuming you have the odds as shown in the table:
| odds | Over/Under | ||||||
| Rif | +/- | CU | OP | Rif | +/- | CU | OP |
| 1 | 2.20 | 1.94 | Ov | 1.36 | 1.80 | ||
| 2 | 1.43 | 1.82 | Un | 2.31 | 1.96 | ||
By applying the formula for the odds we get:
100 * ((2.20 - 1.43) - (1.94 - 1.82)) =
100 * (0.77 - 0.12) = 65 points;
Applying the Under / Over formula we get:
100 * ((1.36 - 2.31) - (1.80 - 1.96)) =
100 * (-0.95 - (-0.16)) = -79 points;
The values obtained are added to the configurations
to easily control the volume of the odds variation and refine
the search filter.
The payout is a term adopted by AsianbetSoccer for
indicate the payment difference, expressed as a percentage, that the
bookmaker offers after the odds changes. Assuming you have the
following situation:
| odds | |||
| Ref | +/- | Current | Open |
| Odds 1 | 1.36 | 1.80 | |
| Odds 2 | 2.31 | 1.96 | |
Applying the formula for calculating the payout
With the opening odds we will have:
odds 1 formula% return = 100% - (100% / 1.80) = 44.4%;
odds 2 formula% return = 100% - (100% / 1.96) = 49%;
the total open return is therefore 93.4%
and this is the situation with the current odds:
odds 1 formula% return = 100% - (100% / 1.36) = 26.5%;
odds 2 formula% return = 100% - (100% / 2.31) = 56.7%;
the total return of odds current is therefore 83.2%
In the example the payout result is given by the difference between the
total current return minus the total open return, therefore 83.2% - 93.4% = -10.2%.
This value indicates the percentage of profit that the bookmaker has applied
on the bet after the change. For negative values, the total return of the
current odds is lower than the opening odds, while for positive values
the other way around. This means that the bookmaker, after changing odds,
offers a different return to the bettor by increasing or decreasing his margin of
profit. The payouts obtained both for the Odds and for Un/Ov are integrated
to configurations to easily monitor the return type of the odds.
The more the value is far from zero, the more relevant the variation will be.
On the pages, the AsianOdds display includes the spread variations with the relative odds1 and odds2, the total line with the relative Under and Over odds, the points and payout values of the variation. The following table shows how the data is presented with an example:
| H | -1 | -0.75 | 2.12 | 1.91 | 2.5 | 2.25 | O | 2.04 | 1.83 | 41 | 42 | ||
| A | 1 | 0.75 | 1.81 | 2.01 | U | 1.86 | 2.07 | -0.3% | 0.2% |
The set of all Asian data and values in the table form the "configuration" of the game.
Note: in the livescore section, by selecting the live odds, the display shows the live odds/handicaps (LI) on the left and the closing odds/handicaps (CU) on the right. The data "Points" and "Payout" refer to the differences between these odds. The ACT and ACX, however, remain unchanged, as the algorithm generates them from the open => current configuration.
It is possible to filter the AsianOdds from the "Asian Handicap & Odds Filter" menu. For mobile version or small displays, you can view it by clicking on the icon in the asianodds header. Note that the "∪" filter works even from min value to left and max value to right.
ACT stands for Asian Configuration Trend.
The AsianBetSoccer service is based on search
similar configurations of the scheduled games with those
of the finished matches in our archive. Our database is very large,
because all the games listed since 2008 from all best bookmakers have been acquired.
Today we count about 1,7 million archived matches.
After years of research and study, it was noticed that matches with the same open
and current Asian handicaps could be grouped together, as they presented a regular trend in terms of similar results.
For each match searched, the software compute result and shows
the total number of comparisons found and the trend (historical success rate)
of the different types of bets offered. You have the statistics for:
European odds 1X2 half, second and finish time;
Asian odds Hp (asian handicap) finish time;
double chance half, second and finish time;
Under/Over from 0.5 to 2.5 half and second time;
Under/Over from 0.5 to 4.5 finish time;
Under/Over Hp Total Line finish time;
Exact Total Goal from 1 to 4 half and time;
Exact Total Goal from 1 to 6 finish time;
Over from 0.5 to 1.5 at second time when total goal in half time is 0, 1 or 2
Both/No-both team score (GG/NG) half, second and finish time;
Home/Guest score Over 0.5 to 1.5 half and second time;
Home/Guest score Over 0.5 to 2.5 finish time;
Multigol 1-2 to 1-4 half and second time;
Multigol from 1-2 to 1-6 finish time;
In the current version, 3 different ACT preset filters have been integrated,
which have the same root (same spread and total line) but different and/or more search parameters.
The software processes the historical result starting from the Asian match string,
searching it in the database and obtaining those that have similar criteria.
The preset database filter are:
In each search filter the standard parameters are always present, i.e. Spread open/curr and Total Line open/curr. These filters return different statistics by applying additional values to the root.
You can change ACT filter (Basic, Advanced, League) from the list next to the icon . The following table shows how the statistics are displayed in a standard way:

In the current version, ACT filters have been integrated.
ACT filters are available in the 'Statistics Settings' menu.
For mobile device or small displays, click on to open menu.
you can choose view of the ACT between FT (full time), HT (half time) or 2T (second time) from 'Value Time' radio button.
After 'Value Time', you can set the search filter for ACTs, together or individually, choosing between:
For every choice, can be set the views in at dedicated table columns and the minimum TOT number that the current configurations must have. You can set markets type from the list next to the icon . It's possible to filter ACT statistics based on his minimum percentage value from the list next to the icon . For all matches in database that have same conditions, our software return the trend of available markets. By analyzing the trend, the software automatically selects and indexes the trends of the best performing Asian configurations (ACX).
ACX stands for Asian Configuration Index.
The AsianBetSoccer software automatically select the market with the best ratio from trend and success rate.
The list of selected markets is displayed in the ACX column of the tables.
ACXs are influenced by ACTs, which in turn are influenced by the values of the Asian configuration.
For this reason, the values that change prematch can generate different trends, resulting in changes from the ACT and ACX.
ACTs become final when the markets are closed, i.e. as soon as the match begins.
Our service offered 2 types of data:
ACX, based on historical ACT valueBet, choose and show best markets;
ALERT CHANGES, show big odds or handicap changes;
For all games our software scan ACT of each market, that are calculated based on its configuration, returning the highest historical success rate. The requirements to select ACX are very difficult to overcome, therefore our tips is very reliable. But we refer you to your good sense, in betting only what you can afford without exaggerating; because using the site you accept ours terms and conditions. The following table show list of all ACX offered:
